It was an honour to be one of the panelists discussing the future of the cultural heritage in Iraq and Syria alongside broadcaster Samira Ahmed, distinguished Iraqi archaeologist, Dr Lamia al-Gailani Werr, the Director of the British Museum’s Iraq Scheme, Jonathan Tubb, and Financial Times Middle-East correspondent David Gardner.

I can’t express how grateful I am for all the people who made it to the national UK Tour Autumn 2018. Some made it to not one but several shows on the tour which makes me feel surrounded by a warm hug of son rose petals.

We had the most wonderful time AND I met the man who made my qanun for the very first time!
